That way, you limit the market even more to "sad otaku who have more money then brains, and have been masturabating nightly to the bootleg poster they got at Anime Expo '88" That's the sort of fanbase you want to go for, not a broad base that might buy your product, and make it profitable, but from people who are generally considered the biggest loser of time.
