You know what my problem is? My best rants happen while my mind is free associating just before I go to bed. Anyhoo:
People always mention that lotteries always hit poor people the hardest. But no one ever asks why. Well, the reason is because they're desperate. It's the same thing that fuels lawsuits. Most people *WANT* to get a non-serious injury that they can sue over, and get a lot of cash. It's the Republican's fault. Them and the attitude of greed they inspire and promote.
But the reason why poor people are desperate is because they don't see a way of getting out of poverty, and all the time they hear that they shouldn't get a dime of help from the republicans. So, in order to get out of the crushing poverty they're in, they try to make money quickly via the lottery. God knows we can't have an increase in the minimum wage. That would require companies to pay people more. And God knows we can't have that!
This rant sounded better in my head. Damn. Oh well. You guys get the gist, right? No? Bite me.
